Hello, I’m Jonathan Gonzalez.

It’s a pleasure to meet you!

My Background

I first experienced the benefits of ergonomics during my time as an industrial engineering clerk at Farmer John, a subsidiary of Hormel Foods, a Fortune 500 company. Conducting industrial ergonomic evaluations, I saw firsthand how even small ergonomic changes could significantly improve workers' quality of life and boost productivity. This inspired me to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Resource Management with a focus on Occupational Safety & Health Management from California State University, Bakersfield, in June 2014.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a safety professional with RTX Corporation (formerly Raytheon Technologies Corp.), Amazon.com, Inc., the Los Angeles County Department of Public and Social Services, the Inland Empire Utilities Agency, Genex Services, and The Standard Insurance Company. My responsibilities varied across many safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, CalOSHA, and ADA standards. As a safety professional, it was my responsibility to minimize the risks for my employer but also to improve the work lives of the employees.

Why I Do What I Do

I’ve had a well-rounded, rewarding career in the health and safety field. The common thread in my work experiences no matter the industry was ergonomics. My varied work experiences gives me a unique perspective since I’ve performed ergonomic assessments not just in an office environment but also in laboratories, warehouses, and manufacturing settings. Since the start of my career, I’ve conducted hundreds of ergonomic assessments, contributed to the development of ergonomic programs, and trained hundreds of office ergonomic coordinators to be ambassadors for safety.

These experiences have fueled my passion for helping workers maintain neutral postures to enhance their quality of life and reduce injuries through ergonomic interventions. I have a holistic approach to ergonomics that goes beyond the workplace, centered on the needs of the individual. I’m eager to bring these services to my local community by founding a company dedicated to providing effective and affordable ergonomic solutions that preserve worker longevity and business continuity.

I founded Longevity Ergonomics to make ergonomics accessible to everyone—it should not only be available to large businesses and organizations. I want to make sure that individual clients have access to ergonomics, and I want small businesses to have a chance to offer this service to their employees.

My true passion is with the people doing the work and lies in preserving worker longevity through practical ergonomic solutions while helping employers minimize liability.
